DJI Matrice 30
The DJI Matrice 30 (M30) is a new concept in the field of industry focused high performance drones. It’s small enough to fit in a backpack, but robust enough to fly in almost any conditions. It’s folding design creates a highly portable package while it’s size (larger than the Mavic Enterprise Advanced but smaller than the M300) allows it to fly through windy conditions and support top mounted payloads.
There are two versions of this drone, one with standard camera including range finder and the other drone option has a thermal camera built in. Price for the M30T is $17,940.
The fixed camera payload includes a Laser Rangefinder with 1200m detection range, a Wide camera with a 1/2″ CMOS 12 MP sensor, a Zoom Camera with up to 16x optical zoom and 200x digital zoom and a Thermal Camera (with the M30T model only). This means the M30 is versatile enough for just about any application, fast enough to deploy in emergencies and robust enough for routine inspection work.
The M30 also has a 41min max flight time, a self heating function to clear lens fog, hot swappable batteries and compatibility with DJI’s revolutionary FlightHub 2 Drone Management platform, this is one of the hardest working drones yet.
DJI have also announced a groundbreaking new product in the form of a docking system with compatible drone (a variant of the M30) that will be capable of fully automated landing, charging and take off via the FlightHub 2 app. For those of you who have been waiting for Pre-programmed Autonomous Drone inspections, later in 2022.
